In this article, you will learn what an Escalation Policy is and how to use it.

What are Escalation Policies?

Escalation Policies are rules that are set up within the system, that notify specific users when someone has been overdue on a specific number of tasks.

You can set up notifications for overdue Tasks, Surveys, 1-to-1s, and CPD targets.

There are two types of policies that you can set up per feature:

  1. People who miss X...: This means the users who miss their target X a number of times, will be displayed in the escalation logs and will trigger notifications.

  2. Manager...: This means that if a manager has a number of direct reports who miss their targets, then the Manager will be displayed on all logs, and this will trigger the notification.

You may find it handy to automate alerting so that key stakeholders can intervene in certain situations such as coaching and reminding users of disciplinary procedures.
