How to Notify Users About New Channel Content in LearnAmp

Overview

Currently, LearnAmp does not support automatic notifications for new content in a channel. However, you can ensure users are aware of updates using two alternative solutions:

Option 1: Use Featured Widgets

Featured Widgets allow you to highlight channels or specific content directly on your users’ dashboards.

Steps to Add a Featured Widget:

1. Go to Dashboard.

2. Click Add Widget.

3. Select the Featured Channel Widgets option.

4. Choose the content or channel you want to feature.

5. Add Widget.

This ensures the new content will be visible to users on their home dashboards.

Option 2: Enable Dynamic Channels

Dynamic channels automatically display an updated status when new content is uploaded. This encourages users to revisit channels regularly to check for updates.

Steps to Make a Channel Dynamic:

1. Navigate to Manage → Learning Content → Channel.

2. Edit the channel you want to change (3 pips → Edit).

3. Click on Advanced settings: Structure, Image, Q&A, certificates, notifications & permissions → How should completion be calculated? → Abolute.

4. Save the changes click on “Edit Channel”.

Once enabled, users will see an Updated label on channels with new content.
