Importing Skills: Managing Proficiency Levels

Importing Skills: Managing Proficiency Levels

FAQs

Q: What file format is required?
CSV (comma-separated values) with UTF-8 encoding.

Q: Will importing overwrite existing skills?
No. Skills with matching names are skipped. The import only creates new skills.

Q: Can I update existing skills via import?
Currently, the import creates new skills only. To update existing skills, edit them individually in Manage Skills.

Q: What happens if my CSV has categories that don't exist?
They'll be created automatically. This is a quick way to set up both skills and categories at once.

Q: Is there a limit to how many skills I can import?
There's no strict limit, but very large imports (thousands of skills) may take longer to process.
