Quiz Creation (Open Beta)

Volt's Quiz Creation agent generates quizzes from content sources using natural language instructions. This feature is currently in Open Beta, available to Admins and Owners with Volt enabled.

Overview

Building quizzes from scratch takes time. Volt's Quiz Creator can generate a full quiz — including questions, answer choices, and correct answers — from a simple instruction or from source material you provide.

You can also update existing quizzes using natural language. The Quiz Updater agent allows you to modify questions, adjust difficulty, or refresh content without manual editing.

This feature is currently in Open Beta. You can enable it from Company Settings → AI Features.

Functionality Breakdown

• Quiz Creator — Generates a quiz from a prompt, from your content library, or from an uploaded file

• Quiz Updater — Updates an existing quiz using natural language instructions

• Works alongside File Upload — upload a PDF, DOCX, or PPTX to base questions on specific source material

• Works alongside Content Search — Volt can search your indexed library for relevant material to inform questions

Pre-requisites

• Volt must be enabled from Company Settings → AI Features

• The Quiz Creator and/or Quiz Updater toggles must be active

Role Requirements

Quick Start Guide

To create a quiz:

1. From the sidebar, select Settings, then AI Features

2. Ensure Volt AI Assistants is toggled on

3. Enable the Quiz Creator toggle

4. Open the Volt panel

5. Ask Volt to create a quiz — for example, "Create a 10-question quiz on the basics of project management" or "Generate a quiz based on our health and safety policy" (with the policy uploaded as a file)

6. Review the generated quiz and publish or adjust as needed

To update an existing quiz:

1. Ensure the Quiz Updater toggle is enabled in AI Features

2. Open the Volt panel

3. Reference the quiz you want to update and describe the changes — for example, "Add three harder questions to the Data Privacy quiz" or "Update the GDPR quiz to reflect 2024 guidance"

💡 Combining Quiz Creator with File Upload is particularly effective — upload your training document and Volt will generate contextually accurate questions from it.

Q: Can Volt generate questions in different formats?
Yes. Volt can generate different question types — such as multiple choice, true/false, or short answer — depending on your instructions. Be specific about the format you'd like in your prompt.

Q: Can I use Quiz Creator without uploading a file?
Yes. You can ask Volt to create a quiz on any topic using web search (if enabled) or general knowledge. Uploading a file or using Content Search grounds the questions in your organisation's own content.
