FAQs

Q: Can I import ratings for skills that don't exist yet?
No—skills must be created first. Use the Skills settings to add skills before importing ratings.

Q: What happens if I import a rating for a user who already has one?
It depends on the "Override existing data" setting. If enabled, the existing rating is replaced. If disabled, the existing rating is preserved.

Q: Can I import partial data (e.g., only own ratings)?
Yes—only map the columns you have. Leave other rating columns unmapped.

Q: How do I identify which user identifier to use?
Check Settings → Company Settings → Login settings. If login names are enabled, you may use either email or login name.

Q: Can I delete ratings via import?
No—imports only add or update ratings. To remove ratings, edit user profiles directly in Learn Amp.

Q: What's the maximum file size?
Large files are supported, but very large imports may take time to process. Consider splitting into batches of 10,000 rows for efficiency.
