Skills widgets help you track, develop, and visualise skill progression across your organisation. From personal skill tracking to team comparisons and gap analysis, these widgets provide powerful insights into workforce capabilities and development opportunities.

Skills widgets are available to organisations with the Skills feature enabled.

Quick Start Guide

  1. Navigate to your Dashboard from the sidebar

  2. Click Add Widget beneath the banner

  3. Select the Skills category

  4. Choose your desired widget

  5. Configure settings (e.g., select a role for gap analysis widgets)

  6. Click Add Widget

Q: Why can't I see Skills widgets in the widget picker?
Skills widgets require the Skills feature to be enabled. Contact your administrator if you believe this should be available.

Q: How many skills can I add to the Skills Matrix widget?
The Skills Matrix allows a maximum of 20 skills to be selected at once.

Q: What's the difference between Skills Gap Analysis and Skills Comparison?
Both compare your skills to a role's requirements. Skills Gap Analysis focuses on identifying gaps and ordering by development priority, whilst Skills Comparison provides a side-by-side visual comparison of essential skills.

Q: Why does My Rating vs Manager Rating show no data?
This widget requires both you and your manager to have rated the same skills. Ensure your manager has provided ratings for your skills.

Q: How does Top Users with Skill work?
It creates a leaderboard showing the most experienced people with a selected skill—useful for identifying experts, planning training, and project resourcing.

Q: What are Associated Skills?
Associated Skills are skills that have been linked together by administrators. The widget shows related skills that users might also want to develop.
