Overview

Your Learn Amp profile is your personal space within the platform. It contains your details, preferences, and settings that affect how you experience Learn Amp. Keeping your profile up to date helps your colleagues find and connect with you, and ensures you receive communications in your preferred language and time zone.

Role Requirements

  • Any confirmed user can edit their own profile

  • Some fields may be read-only if managed by SSO or HR integrations


Quick Start Guide

  1. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner

  2. Select View Profile from the dropdown

  3. Click the three dots (⋮) next to your profile image

  4. Select Edit details


What You Can Edit

About You

Update your basic information:

  • Name – How you appear across the platform

  • Job title – Your role within the organisation

  • Email address – Your unique identifier in Learn Amp (note: no two users can share the same email)

  • Profile image – Upload a photo to help colleagues recognise you

  • Bio – A short description about yourself

  • Skills – Tag your areas of expertise

  • Social media links – Connect your professional profiles

Languages & Locations

  • Primary language – Sets the language the platform displays in

  • Time zone – Affects all timed elements including events, deadlines, and reporting

  • Office location – Where you're based

💡 Tip: Your time zone setting is particularly important. It affects when you see event times, deadline notifications, and how your activity appears in reports. We display reminders of your time zone setting in key areas like event creation.

Recommendations

Add tags to generate personalised content recommendations on your dashboard. The more relevant tags you add, the better your "Recommended" content will match your interests and development goals.

Notifications

Configure which notifications you receive:

  • Email notifications for tasks, events, and updates

  • In-app notification preferences

  • Digest frequency settings

Manager Settings

If you're a manager, you can set your status:

  • Active – Normal operation

  • Taking a break – Temporarily pause notifications while keeping all other functionality


FAQs

Q: Can I change my email address?
Yes, unless your organisation uses SSO (Single Sign-On), in which case email changes may need to be made by your IT team in the identity provider.

Q: Will changing my time zone affect my past activity?
No, your past activity remains recorded at the time it occurred. The time zone setting only affects how future times are displayed to you.

Q: Who can see my profile?
Your profile is visible to other users in your organisation. They can search for you and view your overview page, including your bio, skills, and any content you've shared.

Can't edit certain fields

Some fields may be managed by your organisation's SSO or HR integration. Contact your IT team or Learn Amp admin.

Email address won't save

Email addresses must be unique. Check that no other user has this email address.

Profile picture not uploading

Ensure your image is a square JPG or PNG, at least 82x82 pixels.

Time zone changes not reflected

Changes take effect immediately. Try refreshing your browser if you don't see the update.
