CPD Points
Overview
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points allow you to assign learning value to Items for tracking professional development requirements. When learners complete Items with CPD points, their progress is automatically recorded against CPD targets, helping organisations manage compliance with professional development obligations.
CPD tracking is essential for industries with mandatory professional development requirements, such as healthcare, finance, legal, and education sectors.

FAQs
Q: How are CPD points calculated?
Points are awarded when a learner completes an Item. The value is set by the content creator based on the learning time or value of the content.
Q: Can learners earn CPD points from the same Item multiple times?
This depends on your configuration. By default, points are only awarded once per Item per CPD period.
Q: What happens at the end of a CPD period?
Progress resets for the new period. Historical records are preserved for audit purposes.
Q: Can I see CPD progress for my team?
Managers and admins can view CPD reports showing progress across individuals and teams.
Q: Do all Items need CPD points?
No, CPD points are optional. Only add them to content that contributes to professional development requirements.
Q: Can learners submit their own CPD evidence?
Yes, learners can submit CPD evidence through the CPD submissions feature, which creates Items for review and approval.
