Assignment Methods

Learn Amp offers multiple ways to get content to the right people:

Direct Assignment (Selected Visibility)

Assign Channels to:

  • Individuals – Specific users by name

  • Teams – Entire teams (with optional sub-team inclusion)

  • Groups – Dynamic user groups based on filter criteria

Sharing

Recommend Channels to colleagues with personalised messages—great for peer-to-peer learning recommendations.

Tasks

Assign Channels as tasks with deadlines for accountable, trackable learning. See the Completion and Tracking section for task-related guides.

Sub-Team Visibility

When assigning to teams, you can enable "Also make visible to sub-teams" to automatically include all teams beneath your selected teams in the hierarchy. This saves time when managing complex organisational structures.

Key Concepts

Groups (Advanced Groupings)

Groups are dynamic user segments based on filter criteria like:

  • Job title

  • Department

  • Location

  • Custom user fields

When users meet the criteria, they're automatically included. When they no longer meet it, they're removed. Perfect for role-based training that adapts as people change roles.
