Overview

The Team People Log shows completion statistics for users within a selected team. Key features include:

  • Team-specific view – Focus on just one team's progress

  • Sub-team inclusion – Optionally include users from nested sub-teams

  • Primary members filter – Show only users whose primary team matches the selection

  • All standard features – Filtering, exporting, and reporting work just as they do in the company-wide view

This is ideal for:

  • Team leaders monitoring their direct reports

  • Department heads reviewing divisional progress

  • HR tracking specific team compliance

  • Training managers supporting particular teams

Functionality Breakdown

Team Selector

The team selector lets you quickly switch between teams:

  • Search – Type to filter the team list

  • Hierarchy – Teams are shown in their organisational structure

  • Quick switch – Change teams without navigating away

Include Sub-teams

When enabled, this option includes all users from:

  • The selected team

  • All teams nested beneath it (child teams, grandchild teams, etc.)

Example:
If you select "Engineering" with sub-teams included, you'll see users from:

  • Engineering (parent)

  • Backend Team (child)

  • Frontend Team (child)

  • Mobile Team (child)

  • And any teams nested beneath those

When disabled, only direct members of the selected team appear.

Primary Team Members Only

Users can belong to multiple teams. This option filters the view:

  • On – Only shows users whose primary team is the selected team

  • Off – Shows all users who are members of the team (primary or secondary)

💡 Tip: Use this to avoid counting users twice when reviewing multiple teams.

Manager Access

Managers have special access to their team's People Log:

  • Automatic scoping – The view automatically limits to teams they manage

  • Direct reports – Always visible

  • Sub-managed users – Visible when Include sub-teams is enabled

  • Other teams – Not accessible unless they have additional permissions

This ensures managers can support their teams while maintaining appropriate data boundaries.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: Why can't I see all teams?
A: Your view is limited by your role. Managers can only see teams they manage. Contact an Admin if you need access to additional teams.

Q: What's the difference between the team view and using a team filter?
A: The team view provides a dedicated interface with team-specific options (sub-teams, primary members). The team filter in the main People Log is simpler but offers less control.

Q: Can I save a team-specific report?
A: Yes. Configure your team view and filters, then save as a report. The team selection is saved with the report.

Q: Why do some users appear in multiple teams?
A: Users can have secondary team memberships. Use the Primary team members only toggle to show only their primary assignment.
