FAQs
Q: What if I enter the wrong email address?
You can update the user's email from their profile before they accept the invite. If they've already received the invite, you'll need to resend it after correcting the address.
Q: Can I invite someone without sending them an email?
Yes. When using the batch importer, you can choose not to send invites. For single users, the invite is sent automatically—but you can set their password manually instead to bypass the email invite.
Troubleshooting
Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
Can't find the invite option | Check you have the correct role permissions (Owner, Admin, HR, or Curator with People permissions) |
User didn't receive invite | Ask them to check spam/junk folder, verify the email address is correct |
Email address already exists | The user may already be in the system—search for them in People → Individuals |
💡 Tip: Double-check the email address before sending—typos are the most common cause of invite issues.
💡 Tip: If the user doesn't receive their invite, ask them to check their spam/junk folder before resending.
💡 Tip: Users can update their own details and language preferences after they've confirmed their account.
What Happens Next?
Once invited, the user's status will show as Invite Pending in the People section. After they accept the invite and set their password, their status changes to Confirmed.
You can track invite statuses by filtering the Individuals page by status.
