How Dashboard Priority Works
When a user has access to multiple Dashboards, they see them in this priority order:
Personal (Manager) Dashboards – Highest priority
Onboarding Dashboards – During the onboarding period
Manager Type Dashboards – Based on manager role
Team Dashboards – Based on team membership
Role-Based Dashboards – Standard role assignment
For full details on how priority works, see Understanding Dashboard Priority and Visibility.
Choosing the Right Dashboard Type
Scenario | Recommended Type |
|---|---|
All learners need the same base experience | Role-Based |
New employees need a focused onboarding journey | Onboarding |
Managers need to track their team's progress | Manager |
Different departments need different content | Team |
Different manager levels need different views | Manager Type |
💡 Tip: You can combine multiple Dashboard types. A user might have access to an Onboarding Dashboard, a Team Dashboard, and a Role-Based Dashboard simultaneously—the priority system determines which they see first.
