Event Notification Settings
Overview
Event Notification Settings give you granular control over who gets alerted about event activity. From new enrolments to cancellations, you can configure exactly which updates trigger notifications and who receives them.
These settings help event organisers stay informed without overwhelming them with alerts they don't need.

FAQs
Who receives the "New Application" notification?
The event creator and anyone with approval permissions for the session receive application notifications.
Can I have different notification settings per session?
No, notification settings apply to the event as a whole. All sessions inherit the same settings.
Do notifications go to both email and in-app?
Most notifications appear in both channels. Users can control their email preferences but in-app notifications are always delivered.
What's the difference between "New Application" and "New Enrolment"?
Applications occur when approval is required—someone requests to attend. Enrolments occur when someone is successfully added, either through self-enrolment or admin action.
Can learners disable event notifications?
Learners can adjust their email preferences but cannot fully disable critical notifications like event cancellations.
Are notifications sent for past events?
No, notifications are only sent for upcoming or ongoing events. Changes to past events don't trigger notifications.
Why didn't I receive a notification?
Check your email preferences and spam folder. Verify the notification type is enabled in event settings.
Troubleshooting
Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
Not receiving any event notifications | Check the master toggle is enabled. Verify your email preferences. |
Too many notifications | Disable notification types you don't need. Consider disabling waitlist notifications for popular events. |
Specific notification not sending | Verify that specific notification type is checked in settings. |
Notifications going to wrong person | Check who created the event—they receive organiser notifications by default. |
Learners not receiving enrolment confirmation | These are separate from organiser notifications. Check learner email preferences. |
Completion notifications not sending | Ensure completion notifications are enabled and recipients are configured. Check attendance is marked. |
