How Items Are Sorted

The Personal Development Pathway uses smart sorting to help you focus on what's most important:

  1. Mandatory Tasks first – Any Task marked as mandatory always appears at the top

  2. Then by deadline – Remaining items sorted by due date, with the soonest first

Due Date Indicators

Each item displays its due date in the bottom right corner with clear visual cues:

Text Colour

Meaning

Text Colour

Black

Red

⚠️ Warning: Overdue tasks remain visible until completed. Regular check-ins help ensure nothing slips through the cracks.

Task Types

Tasks fall into two categories that affect their display priority:

FAQs

Why is my Personal Development Pathway empty?
Your Pathway only shows content with deadlines or scheduled dates. If it's empty, you have no outstanding Tasks, upcoming Events, scheduled 1-to-1s, or assigned Surveys.

Can I add items to my own Personal Development Pathway?
You cannot directly add items to your Pathway, but you can:

  • Enrol in Events (which adds them automatically)

  • Ask your manager to assign Tasks to you

  • Bookmark content for quick access (appears elsewhere on the Dashboard)

What's the difference between a Task and a Mandatory Task?
Both have deadlines, but Mandatory Tasks always appear first in the list, regardless of due date. They signal that this learning is essential and should be prioritised.

Do completed items stay visible anywhere?
Yes! Navigate to My Tasks to see your task history, including completion dates. This provides a record of your learning achievements.

Why can I see some of my team members' tasks?
Managers can view the Personal Development Pathway content for their direct reports. This helps with coaching conversations and ensuring team members stay on track.

What happens to overdue tasks?
Overdue tasks remain visible (shown in red) until completed. They continue to appear at the top of your Pathway as a reminder.

Why don't my Events show in the Pathway?
Check that the To Do List widget is configured to include Events. Also verify you're enrolled in the Event and the session date is in the future.
