Organising Content with Learnlists, Channels, and the Dashboard
Overview
Learn Amp offers three key ways to group and organise content: Learnlists, Channels, and Libraries. Each method is designed to help Admins and Learners easily navigate and engage with content such as Items, Assessments, and Surveys. These flexible structures mirror familiar formats like playlists and streaming services to make content consumption intuitive and enjoyable.
Learnlists
Learnlists are collections of learning content—like playlists for learning. They can include Items, Assessments, Surveys, and more.
Key Features
Customisable titles, images, and descriptions
Can be structured, unstructured, or locked
Feature their own content tiles (with 'like' and '3-dot' menu options)
Types of Learnlists
1. Structured Learnlists
Use this format when content should be followed in a specific order. Ideal for sequential learning paths (e.g., beginner to advanced).
Design Features:
Left-hand navigation panel
'Next item' arrows for smooth progression
2. Locked Learnlists
A variation of Structured Learnlists where users must complete each item in order to unlock the next. Perfect for compliance or mandatory training.
Design Features:
Enforced sequential access
Progress tracking
3. Unstructured Learnlists
Best for ad-hoc or thematic collections like "Top Tips" or "Best Business Reads."
Design Features:
No enforced order
No side navigation or progression arrows
Easy return to top-level overview
Channels
Channels present learning content in a visually engaging, carousel-style format—similar to streaming platforms.
Key Features
Combine Items, Learnlists, Quizzes, Surveys, and more
Fully customisable labels and layouts
Channels are used to surface specific content types or themes to different user groups.
Example Channel Uses
"Recommendations" (AI-driven suggestions based on user preferences)
"Shares" (user-shared content)
"Liked" (content a user has liked)
Role- or department-specific Channels
Organisation Dashboard
The Organisation Dashboard is a personalised hub for each user.
Core Components
Personal Development Pathway at the top (Tasks, Events, 1-to-1s)
Channels underneath (populated based on assigned content)
Admins can configure which Channels appear for different user groups, making the dashboard a dynamic and user-centric entry point to learning.
