I'm a manager - how can I create my own Dashboard?

Learn how to create your own Dashboard if you are a manager.

Please note that allowing managers to create Dashboards is optional and on a toggle for all companies. This means that some companies will allow only admins / owners to create Dashboards - not their learner-managers.

For more information about manager Dashboards as a whole, please read our article here.

If you are a manager (with the role of learner, curator, reporter, or HR) then this article is to explain how you can create your own Dashboards.

What are manager Dashboards?

Can anyone else see the Dashboards I have created?

No - if you are a manager and have set up your own Dashboards, then only you can see them.

How can I set one up?

1. If it's enabled for your company, you'll be able to see the option to ‘Create new dashboard’ button at the top of your Dashboard.

2. You'll then be able to select which Dashboard template they would like to start from.

3. Select which widgets - which are filtered to only show data from users that you manage.

What data will the widgets show for me, as a manager? Whose data can I see?

Managers (who are also learners) will only be able to see data from their own direct reports. When they select a widget, they will be able to see this option here:

Example:

So, when there is a widget that shows specific users' data, you will only be able to see your direct reports.

In the example below, this is a screenshot from Jane Leydon, who is the Manager of the Marketing team, and has three direct reports.

So, she can only see the "session data" from her three direct reports: William West, Tom McDowell and Louise Sanders - as she is the manager of these three users.

She cannot see any other employees' data.

I don't have the option to "Create new dashboard" - can you help?

If you are a manager and you do not see this option to "Create Dashboard", then unfortunately it means that your company has not allowed ‘Manager Dashboards’ to be enabled.

Please discuss this with an admin within your own company.
