View Scoring Rubric Reports

Overview

Learn Amp allows detailed insights and responses linked to Scoring Rubrics. This includes viewing individual learner submissions, overall average scores, and directly scoring exercises when required. These features support transparent, structured performance tracking.

This article explains where to view Scoring Rubric answers and reports, and what data is available.


Functionality Breakdown

There are two main areas to access Scoring Rubric data:

  1. Scoring Rubrics view – To see submitted answers and rubric-wide reporting.

  2. Exercise submissions – To score entries and view detailed user-level data.

Rubric insights include:

  • User submissions and their scores

  • Overall number of completions

  • Average score across submissions

  • Pass/fail status (based on scoring logic)

  • Comments and notes (if added during scoring)


Pre-requisites

To access Scoring Rubric reports or view submissions, you must have one of the following roles:

  • Owner – Full access within their company

  • Admin – Administrative access within their company

  • Learning Designer – Can create and manage learning content

  • Curator – Can curate and manage content (requires report policy override for full reporting)

  • Reporter – Can view reports (requires Scores feature enabled)

  • HR – Can access with assessment override enabled

Note: You can only view submissions from users within your team or permission scope.


Manager and Coach Visibility

Managers and Coaches have special visibility rules for viewing rubric scores of their team members:

Managers

Managers can view rubric scores and submissions for:

  • Direct reports in teams where they are the primary manager

  • Users in teams where they are a secondary manager

  • Any user in their managed user list

Secondary Managers

Secondary managers can view scores for users in teams where they have been assigned as a secondary manager.

Coaches

Coaches can view rubric scores for users they are assigned to coach. This is determined by the coaching relationship configured in the user's profile.

Quick Start Guide

View Answers and Reports from Scoring Rubrics

  1. Go to Assess > Scoring Rubrics

  2. Find the rubric in question

  3. Choose from the following:

    • View Answers – Shows individual users' submissions and scores

    • View Report – Displays aggregated data such as average score and number of completions

View Submissions from an Exercise

  1. Go to Assess > Exercises > Company

  2. Locate the exercise linked to your rubric

  3. Click into the exercise to access submission data

  4. Use the View Report tab to see:

    • Total submissions

    • Average score

Score an Entry

If someone in your team submitted the exercise:

  1. Click Score this entry within the same screen

  2. A scoring window opens displaying:

    • The linked Scoring Rubric

    • Input fields for Notes and Comments

    • Automatic calculation of Pass/Fail status (if minimum score is defined)

Tip: Use the comments field to provide qualitative feedback alongside scores.


Report Data Explained

Individual Submission View

When viewing a learner's scored submission, you can see:

  • Total Score – The sum of points across all topic areas

  • Score Breakdown – Points received for each topic area

  • Quality Level – Which quality level was selected for each topic

  • Pass/Fail Status – Whether the score met the pass threshold (if configured)

  • Grader – Who scored the submission

  • Date Scored – When the scoring occurred

  • Notes/Comments – Any feedback provided during scoring

Aggregated Report View

The report view shows:

  • Total Completions – Number of users who have been scored

  • Average Score – Mean score across all submissions

  • Average Label – The quality level that corresponds to the average score

  • Score Distribution – Breakdown by quality level showing:

    • Count of submissions per level

    • Percentage of total submissions


FAQs

Q: Why can't I see some user submissions?
You can only view users within your assigned team or permission scope. Managers see their direct reports, coaches see their coached users, and so on.

Q: Can I export the report?
Currently, reporting is viewable in-platform. Export options depend on your organisation's permissions.

Q: What if the rubric isn't calculating scores?
Check whether it's set to automatic scoring and that all criteria are completed.

Q: As a manager, why can't I see a team member's score?
Ensure you are correctly assigned as their manager or secondary manager in the system. Contact your Admin if the relationship needs updating.

Q: Can I see who scored each submission?
Yes, the grader's name is displayed alongside each scored submission.
