Embedding Content
Overview
Learn Amp allows you to embed external content directly into your Items using the Page Builder. This means you can include videos, presentations, interactive content, and more from external sources—all viewable within Learn Amp without learners needing to leave the platform.
Embedding is ideal when you want more control over the viewing experience than a simple weblink provides.
Functionality Breakdown
The Page Builder's Advanced editor includes a source code option that allows you to paste embed codes from external platforms. Once embedded, content displays inline within your Item.
Common embeddable content includes:
Videos from YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, and other platforms
Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms
Prezi presentations
H5P interactive content
Microsoft Forms and PowerPoint Online
Loom videos
Virtually any content with an iframe embed code
Simple vs Advanced Editor
When creating content in the Page Builder, you can choose between two editing modes:
Simple Editor
The Simple Editor is the default choice, offering basic formatting:
Bold, italic, and underlined text
Hyperlinks to websites
Search and upload images
Advanced Editor
The Advanced Editor provides full content creation capabilities:
Insert media – Add images, videos, and other media directly
Tables – Create structured data tables
Text formatting – Full styling options similar to Microsoft Word (headings, colours, highlights, lists)
Source code – Access HTML for custom formatting and embedding external content
💡 Tip: Use the Advanced Editor when you need to embed external content or create richly formatted pages. The source code button (<>) is where you'll paste embed codes.

FAQs
Q: What's the difference between embedding and using a Weblink?
A Weblink sends learners to an external site. Embedding displays the content directly within Learn Amp, keeping learners on the platform.
Q: Can I embed content that requires login?
Generally, no. If the external content requires authentication, learners will see an error or login prompt. Use publicly accessible or unlisted content for embedding.
Q: Why isn't my embed displaying?
Check that the source allows embedding (some content is restricted). Verify you're using the correct embed code format (usually an iframe). Try a different browser to rule out browser-specific issues.
Q: Can I embed multiple items on one page?
Yes! Use the Page Builder to add multiple embed codes on a single Item page. Add each code separately in the source editor.
Q: What if my platform doesn't have an embed option?
If the platform doesn't offer embed codes, use a Weblink Item instead to link directly to the content.
Q: When should I use Simple vs Advanced Editor?
Use Simple Editor for basic text with links. Use Advanced Editor when you need tables, rich formatting, images, or embedded content from external sources.
