FAQs
Q: Can I replace a SCORM 1.2 package with a different standard?
Yes, you can replace any e-learning package with another standard (e.g., change SCORM 2004 to CMI5). The Item type remains E-learning regardless of the specific standard.
Q: Will learners lose their progress if I update the package?
Completion records are preserved. However, any in-progress work that hasn't been submitted will be lost when the package is replaced.
Q: Why does my package take a long time to process?
Large packages require more processing time. Wait for the "complete" message before navigating away. If processing fails, check that the package contains a valid manifest.
Q: Can I test my package before uploading?
Yes, use SCORM Cloud (free account available at rusticisoftware.com) to test your package before uploading to Learn Amp.
Troubleshooting
Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
Upload stuck at 100% | Wait longer—processing continues after upload. Large packages may take several minutes. |
"Invalid manifest" error | Re-export the package from your authoring tool. Ensure the imsmanifest.xml file is present. |
Package not launching | Check browser popup blockers if using popup mode. Try a different browser. |
Progress not tracking | Verify reporting settings in the authoring tool. Test the package in SCORM Cloud first. |
Course appears blank | The package may have HTTP links that browsers block. Re-export with HTTPS links. |
