Understanding 1-to-1 Settings
Overview
1-to-1s in Learn Amp offer various settings that affect how they're issued, who can access them, and how information flows between cycles. This guide explains the key settings and when to use each option.
One-off vs Cycle
Choose how your 1-to-1 is issued and whether it recurs.

Activity Data Options
Control what information is displayed within the 1-to-1.

💡 Tip: Only enable the activity data relevant to your check-in purpose. Too many panels can be overwhelming.
Key Dates
Each 1-to-1 has several important dates.
Date | Purpose |

First Issue Date | When the 1-to-1 is created and sent to recipients |
Reviewee Complete By | Deadline for the team member to fill in their section |
Reviewer Complete By | Deadline for the manager to add their input |
Share and Finalise By | Final deadline; also determines cycle recurrence date |
⚠️ Note: For cycles, recurrence is calculated from the "Share and finalise by" date, not the first issue date.
Recipient Options
Choose who receives the 1-to-1.

Q: Can I change settings after a 1-to-1 is issued?
No—settings are locked once issued. Plan ahead by setting future issue dates.
Q: What happens if I miss a date?
The 1-to-1 shows as overdue, but can still be completed.
Q: Can different templates have different settings?
Yes—each template has its own independent settings.
