Adding a Widget

Step 1: Open the Widget Picker

From your Dashboard, look beneath the main banner and click Add Widget.

Step 2: Select Your Widget

Browse the available widgets by category (Learn, Connect, Perform, Engagement Data) or use the search bar to find a specific widget.

Click on the widget you want to add.

Step 3: Configure the Widget

A form will appear with configuration options specific to that widget. Common settings include:

  • Title: Custom name for the widget

  • Time period: Date range for data (e.g., last 7 days, last 30 days)

  • Filters: Team, group, or individual filters

  • Display options: How content is shown (list, grid, etc.)

Fill in the settings according to your needs.

Step 4: Add the Widget

Once you're happy with the settings, click Add Widget.

You'll see a confirmation screen. Click View Dashboard to see your new widget in place.

Moving Widgets

Rearrange widgets to create a logical layout for your users.

How to Move

  1. Hover over the widget you want to move

  2. Look for the four-way arrow icon (move handle)

  3. Click and hold the handle

  4. Drag the widget to its new position

  5. Release to drop the widget

Widgets will snap into place in the Dashboard grid.

Resizing Widgets

Adjust widget sizes to emphasise important content or fit more widgets on screen.

How to Resize

  1. Hover over the edge or corner of the widget

  2. Look for the resize cursor

  3. Click and drag to make the widget larger or smaller

  4. Release when you're satisfied with the size

💡 Tip: Use a mix of sizes to create visual hierarchy—make important widgets larger and supporting widgets smaller.

Editing Widget Settings

Change a widget's configuration after it's been added.

How to Edit

  1. Find the widget you want to modify

  2. Click the menu icon (three dots) on the widget

  3. Select Edit from the menu

  4. Modify the settings as needed

  5. Save your changes

Removing Widgets

Remove widgets that are no longer needed.

How to Remove

  1. Click the menu icon (three dots) on the widget

  2. Select Remove or Delete

  3. Confirm the removal if prompted

💡 Tip: Removing a widget only affects the Dashboard—it doesn't delete any underlying data.

Best Practices

Group related widgets together – Place activity widgets (Tasks, Events) near each other, and reporting widgets in another area.

Consider the user journey – Put action-driving widgets at the top where users see them first.

Don't overcrowd – Too many widgets can overwhelm users. Focus on what each role truly needs.

Use size strategically – Larger widgets draw attention; use this for your most important content.

Test with different screen sizes – Check how your Dashboard looks on different devices.

Review and iterate – Gather feedback from users and adjust widgets based on what's actually useful.
