Video
Accepted Formats | Maximum Size |
|---|---|
MP4, MOV, AVI, FLV, MPEG-2, 3GP, and other common formats | 2 GB (recommended: under 50 MB) |
We use AWS ElasticTranscoder to convert uploaded videos to MP4 format. Most common video formats are supported—if your format doesn't work, try converting to MP4 first.
💡 Tip: Keep video files under 50 MB for the best user experience. Large files take longer to upload and may cause slow loading for learners.

FAQs
Q: What's the maximum file size for uploads?
The general limit is 2 GB for documents, videos, and SCORM packages. Images are limited to 10 MB. For videos, we recommend staying under 50 MB for the best user experience.
Q: Can I upload PowerPoint files directly?
PowerPoint files can be uploaded as downloadable files, but they won't display inline. To show slides directly in Learn Amp, convert your PowerPoint to PDF first, then upload the PDF.
Q: Why can't I upload a ZIP file?
ZIP files are blocked by default for security. The exception is SCORM packages—use the E-learning Item type to upload these.
Q: What video format should I use?
MP4 is the most reliable format. If you're having issues with another format, try converting to MP4 before uploading.
Q: Why is my PDF not displaying correctly?
Some PDFs created with specific software may not render properly. Try opening and re-saving the PDF using a PDF creator tool (such as PDFCreator on Windows) to ensure compatibility.
Troubleshooting
Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
Upload fails immediately | Check the file extension isn't blocked. Remove special characters (&, !) from the filename. |
Upload times out | Large files on slow connections may time out. Compress the file or try uploading during off-peak hours. |
Video won't play | Verify the format is supported. Try converting to MP4. Check the file isn't corrupted by playing it locally first. |
PDF preview broken | Re-save the PDF using a PDF creator tool to ensure compatibility. |
SCORM won't upload | Ensure the file is a ZIP containing a valid manifest. Use the E-learning Item type, not File. |
Audio not playing | Use MP3 or MP4 format for best browser compatibility. |
File appears corrupted | Try uploading from a different browser. Ensure stable internet connection during upload. |
