FAQs
Content Completion & Management
Q: How can I mark content as complete for a user?
Navigate to the content viewing screen, click the three-dot menu, and select "Mark as complete for...". This allows admins to manually complete content on behalf of users.
Q: How can I mark a Learnlist/Channel as complete for a user?
Open the Learnlist or Channel, click the three-dot menu, and select "Mark as complete for...". Enter the user's name to mark it complete on their behalf.
Q: How do I batch archive content?
Navigate to Content > Manage Items in the sidebar, select multiple items using the checkboxes, then use the bulk actions menu to archive. This is available to Admin and Owner roles.
Q: How do I add content to a Learnlist?
Edit the Learnlist and use the content selector to add Items. You can search for existing content or create new Items directly.
Q: If I change a Learnlist from absolute to dynamic completion, would it still show as completed by users who finished it previously?
Yes. Historical completions are preserved when changing completion types. Users who completed under the old rules retain their completion status.
Q: What happens if I set a task for a Learnlist with an expiration date?
When the expiration date passes, the task will be marked as expired. Users who haven't completed the Learnlist by that date will show as incomplete in reporting.
Certificates
Q: Is it possible to remove the current certificates and only show custom certificates?
Yes. Contact Technical Support to configure which certificates are available in your platform.
Video & Media
Q: Can I add subtitles to a video?
Yes. When editing a video Item, you can upload subtitle files (WebVTT format) to display captions during playback.
Q: The video I uploaded shows in low quality, what can I do?
Videos are processed and encoded after upload. Higher quality options become available once processing completes. If quality remains poor, try re-uploading a higher resolution source file.
Q: What determines which quality resolution options are available in the video player?
Resolution options depend on the original upload quality. Learn Amp creates multiple quality versions during processing, but cannot upscale beyond the source resolution.
Platform & Navigation
Q: The delete option isn't appearing in the three-dot menu?
The delete option is only available to users with appropriate permissions (typically Admin or Owner roles). Check your role permissions if you don't see this option.
Q: What do I do if I keep receiving a 'refused to connect' error when trying to play embedded content?
This typically occurs when the source website blocks embedding. Check if the content provider allows iframe embedding, or try accessing the content directly via its source URL.
Q: Can I bookmark Channels?
No. Channels cannot currently be saved as favourites.
Q: How can I get the URL of content to automatically reflect title changes?
Learn Amp automatically updates content URLs when titles change. Old URLs will redirect to the new URL to prevent broken links.
Q: When searching for content, what does the Source filter include?
The Source filter shows where content originated from, such as Learn Amp native content, integrated providers (LinkedIn Learning, etc.), or user-generated content.
