Q&A: What happens to recurring tasks if the individual changes Team or is removed from a Group?

If someone is removed from a Group or Team that has a recurring Task set, then once they are removed from the Group/Team, they will no longer be issued any recurrences of the Task they were originally set for that Group/Team.

You’ll still be able to see all of their past Tasks issued when they were in the Group/Team - it’s simply that future recurrences will be effectively ‘cancelled’ for them.

You can check for the implications of someone moving Group/Team, by:

• Going to the Task Log and using the filter ‘Tasked For / Group’ OR 'Tasked For / Team'

• Setting the deadline filters to a wide date range.

• Selecting ‘Add new filter group’

• Choosing the ‘And’ filter

• Adding ‘Recurring’/'Yes'.

This will show you all of the Tasks you have set for a Group or Team that are recurring - so that you can make note of any Groups/Teams that have implications of cancelled future Tasks if an individual leaves that Group/Team.
