Accessing Quiz Reporting
Overview
Learn Amp offers multiple types of quiz reports, giving Admins and eligible roles insight into learner performance at varying levels of detail. These reports support effective analysis of learning outcomes and help identify where interventions may be needed.
Reports help you:
Track who has passed or failed
Understand scores and attempt history
See which questions are causing the most difficulty
Analyse per-question performance across all learners
View team-specific and group-specific performance
Access advanced analytics dashboards with visual insights
All reports can be accessed from a central location via the sidebar navigation under Reporting → Quizzes, or via My Team → Team Reporting → Quizzes for Managers.
Functionality Breakdown
There are multiple report types and views available:
1. Quiz Analytics Dashboard
The Quiz Analytics Dashboard provides a comprehensive, visual overview of quiz performance across your organisation using advanced analytics:
Access: Navigate to Manage → Learning Content → Quizzes in the sidebar navigation, then click the Analytics tab
Features:
Interactive visualisations and charts
Organisation-wide quiz performance metrics
Trend analysis over time
Comparative insights across teams, groups, or time periods
Availability: This feature is controlled by a feature flag and may not be available to all organisations
Use cases: Strategic analysis, identifying learning trends, comparing performance across different segments
💡 Tip: The Analytics Dashboard provides high-level insights perfect for executive reporting and strategic planning, while standard reports offer detailed, per-quiz analysis.
Note: The Analytics Dashboard requires GoodData integration and appropriate permissions. If you don't see the Analytics tab, contact your Learn Amp administrator to check if this feature is enabled for your organisation.
2. Overall Quiz Result
Displays a summary of learner performance across the quiz, including:
Pass/fail status
Final score as a percentage
Date of submission
Number of attempts
Average score across attempts
3. Question Responses
Provides a detailed breakdown of each learner's responses:
See which answers each user selected
Hover over column headers (e.g. '%') for explanations
Answers are hidden by default and can be revealed by selecting 'Show answers'
4. Question-Level Stats
Summarises how each question performed across all learners:
Number of users who answered correctly or incorrectly
Overall percentage of correct answers per question
5. Grid Reports
Grid Reports provide a comprehensive view of quiz performance in a grid format:
Per-question performance – See how each learner answered each question
Overall statistics – View passed percentage and average score across all attempts
Question-level statistics – Identify which questions are most challenging
User-level detail – Review all attempts for each learner in one view
💡 Tip: Use Grid Reports when you need to analyse patterns across questions or identify specific areas where multiple learners are struggling.
6. Single Answer Breakdown
For each individual question, you can view:
Which users answered correctly
Which users answered incorrectly
User details including name, job title, and avatar
Correct percentage for that specific question
This allows you to drill down into specific questions to understand why learners may be struggling.
7. Team Reports
Team Reports show quiz performance for specific teams:
Access: Navigate to My Team → Team Reporting → Quizzes in the sidebar navigation
Filtering options:
Include sub-teams – View performance across team hierarchies
Primary team members only – Focus on direct team members
Use cases: Track team performance, identify training needs, compare teams
8. Advanced Grouping Reports
Advanced Grouping Reports show quiz performance for Advanced Groupings:
Access: Available to users with Advanced Groupings enabled
Filtering: Shows performance for all users within the selected Advanced Grouping
Use cases: Analyse performance across custom user groups, departments, or locations
9. Managed User Reports
Managed User Reports show quiz performance for users you manage:
Access: Available to Managers and users with managed user permissions
Filtering: Shows performance for your direct reports
Use cases: Track your team's quiz performance, identify who needs support
Pre-requisites
To access quiz reports, you must:
Have at least one published quiz with learner submissions
Hold one of the following roles:
Super Admin
Owner (within your company)
Admin (within your company)
Learning Designer
HR (with assessment override permissions)
Curator (with report policy override permissions)
Manager (for team reports only)
Reporter (for Analytics Dashboard only)
Note: The "View Breakdown" feature uses the same permissions as the main report view. If you can see the report, you can also access breakdown data.
Quiz Analytics Dashboard Access
To access the Quiz Analytics Dashboard, you need:
One of the following roles: Reporter, HR, Owner, or Admin
The Analytics Dashboard feature flag enabled for your organisation
GoodData integration configured for your organisation
If you don't see the Analytics tab, contact your Learn Amp administrator to check if this feature is enabled.
Managers and Team Reports
Managers can view quiz reports for their team members only. This is done via the sidebar navigation:
In the sidebar, open My Team
Click Team Reporting
On the Team Reporting page, click the Quizzes tile
This opens a list of quizzes assigned to their team members
Click View Report on a quiz to open the team report for that quiz
The report shows only their team members' quiz results
Team Report Filtering Options:
Include sub-teams – View performance for the team and all sub-teams
Primary team members only – View performance for direct team members only (excludes sub-teams)
Quick Start Guide
Accessing Quiz Analytics Dashboard
Navigate to Manage → Learning Content → Quizzes in the sidebar navigation.
Click the Analytics tab at the top of the page.
Review the interactive dashboard with visual insights into quiz performance.
Use filters and date ranges to customise your view.
Explore different visualisations to understand trends and patterns.
Note: If you don't see the Analytics tab, this feature may not be enabled for your organisation. Contact your administrator.
Accessing Quiz Reports
Navigate to Reporting → Quizzes in the sidebar navigation.
Use the filter to find the quiz by name.
Click View Report in the actions column.
Review a list of users who completed the quiz, including:
Scores
Pass/fail status
Number of attempts
Click View Breakdown to explore per-question performance.
Use the dropdown to switch between the three report types:
Overall quiz result
Question responses
Question-level stats
Accessing Grid Reports
Navigate to Reporting → Quizzes in the sidebar navigation.
Select a quiz and click View Report.
Click View Grid Report or navigate to the Grid Reports tab.
Review the grid view showing:
Each learner's performance across all questions
Overall statistics at the top
Question-level statistics on the side
Use filters and pagination to navigate through large datasets.
Accessing Team Reports
Navigate to My Team → Team Reporting → Quizzes in the sidebar navigation.
Select a quiz assigned to your team members.
Click View Report.
Use filtering options to include sub-teams or focus on primary team members.
Review team-specific performance data.
Accessing Single Answer Breakdown
Navigate to Reporting → Quizzes in the sidebar navigation.
Select a quiz and click View Report.
Click View Breakdown or navigate to the Answer Breakdown view.
Click on a specific question to see the Single Answer Breakdown.
Review which users answered correctly or incorrectly for that question.
Exporting Quiz Report Data
Quiz reports can be exported for offline analysis or record-keeping purposes.
How to Export Quiz Reports
Navigate to Reporting → Quizzes and select View Report for your quiz
Click the Export button (if available)
Choose your preferred format
The export will download containing learner responses and scores
Export Types Available
Overall Results Export – Summary data including pass/fail status, scores, and attempt counts
Per-Question Export – Detailed breakdown of answers for each question across all learners
Export Limitations
Large datasets may take time to generate
Some export options may only be available to Super Admins or Owners
Exports respect your permission level – you will only see data you have access to view

FAQs
Q: Can I download the quiz report data?
Yes. Use the Export button within the quiz report view. If this option is not visible, contact your administrator – export access may be restricted based on your role.
Q: What is the Quiz Analytics Dashboard?

Q: Why are answers hidden in the 'Question Responses' report?
Answers are hidden by default to protect learner data. Select 'Show answers' to display them.
Q: What does "View Breakdown" show?
It displays question-by-question performance, showing how each learner answered and what percentage got each question right.
Q: Can learners see their own reports?
No. Quiz reporting is only available to approved roles listed above.
Q: Can Managers see reports for their teams?
Yes, but only for their direct reports. Managers access team reports via My Team → Team Reporting → Quizzes in the sidebar navigation.
Q: Can I reset a user's quiz attempt?
Yes. Users with appropriate permissions can delete individual quiz attempts. See Resetting a Learner's Quiz Attempt for details.
Q: What's the difference between Question Responses and Grid Reports?
Question Responses shows individual learner answers in a list format. Grid Reports show all learners and all questions in a grid format, making it easier to spot patterns and compare performance across questions.
Q: Can I filter Grid Reports by team or group?
Yes. Grid Reports respect the same filtering options as other reports, allowing you to filter by team, group, or other criteria.
Q: What is Single Answer Breakdown?
Single Answer Breakdown shows, for each question, which specific users answered correctly or incorrectly. This helps identify patterns and understand why certain questions may be challenging.
Q: Can I view reports for Advanced Groupings?
Yes. If your organisation has Advanced Groupings enabled and you have the appropriate permissions, you can view reports filtered by Advanced Grouping.
Q: What's the difference between Team Reports and Managed User Reports?
Team Reports show performance for users in a specific team structure. Managed User Reports show performance for users you directly manage, regardless of team structure.
