Can I sort through exercise submissions by status?

Yes - as well as the 'status' column being sortable, users can filter by exercise status as well:
In the top navigation bar, click on Assess
Select Exercises
Navigate to the Score exercises tab
Click on Filters
Select Scoring Status
Choose Passed, Failed or Pending
This allows users to easily find the exercise submissions they need to review.
