One of the most important content elements within Learn Amp is a Learnlist. Here are some tips on how to create one quickly and easily...

What is a Learnlist?

A Learnlist is a collection of learning content which can include items like videos, documents, articles, quizzes, surveys and exercises. You can fill it with items Items from the extensive Learn Amp Library, or add in your own.

Think of it like a music playlist, but for learning.

You create a Learnlist in the same way you would a course, so that people work their way through them. They can mark each item Item as complete which allows them to track their progress through the Learnlist.

You can make them ordered, unordered or locked, providing flexibility on the way you would like your Learners learners to proceed.

How to create a Learnlist:

Creating a new Learnlist is easy and only takes a few clicks. To add a Learnlist simply follow these steps:

Click the 'Plus Icon' in the navigation bar and select 'Learnlist'.

...

You will be taken to this page and prompted to give your Learnlist a title and brief description.

...

There is the opportunity to add bullet points so learners know what to expect. You can edit this to have more or less as you wish. These bullet point can then be a guide for how you structure the sections of your Learnlist, if you choose to add them later.Screen Shot 2019-03-12 at 11.19.19Image Removed

...

You can customise the look of your Learnlist either by uploading your own image or search via this button below. There is also the opportunity to change the colour of the sidebar navigation, which you may choose to put in your company branding for example.

You can then also add tags Tags so it is easily searchable within your libraryLibrary.

...

You have complete freedom to dictate how you wish your learners to progress through the Learnlist.

...

Unordered means there will be no sidebar navigation and learners can can move freely through items Items within that Learnlist.

Ordered provides a structure to the way in which items Items are viewed and navigated and a sidebar will appear to the left hand side of the screen. This will also give a visual indication to the learner for items Items started, completed or still yet to start.

Locked means that each item Item will be locked until the previous item Item has been completed. This can be particularly useful for mandatory training, for example compliance training.

Depending on the content within the Learnlist you may wish to get it ready, but not publish it until a time in the future. Perhaps related to an announcement within the business. You can allocate this as above. The Learnlist may also only be relevant for a fixed period, for example to educate staff on a forthcoming Seasonal offer ‘seasonal offer’ to Customerscustomers, in which case you can set a an expiry date that it expires to save you time going in having to delete it later.

Finally, you can decide if you wish to be notified when the Learnlist has been completed or assign that notification to someone else.

...

Whilst you created this Learnlist and some roles have permission to edit it by default, you have the choice to give permission to other individuals to edit it if you wish.

Finally, Add Learnlist click ‘Add Learnlist’ and then you can start adding your content!
