Learnlists

You can populate a Learnlist with content from the Learn Amp Library, or upload your own items. Learnlists are ideal for building learning paths, onboarding journeys, compliance training, or themed content series.

FAQs
Q: Can I create courses in Learn Amp?
Yes! Learnlists are Learn Amp's equivalent of courses. They allow you to bundle multiple content items into a structured learning journey.
Q: What's the difference between a Learnlist and a Channel?
A Learnlist is a structured path of items that learners work through. A Channel is a broader container that can include multiple Learnlists and standalone items—think of it as a category or topic area.
Q: Can I reorder items in a Learnlist later?
Yes. You can always return to the editor to rearrange items, change the structure, or update content.
Q: What's the difference between Absolute and Dynamic completion?
With Absolute completion, once a learner completes all items, they stay at 100% even if you add more content later. With Dynamic completion, their score adjusts when new items are added—they'll need to complete the new content to return to 100%.
Q: Can learners create their own Learnlists?
Yes, if the Learner-Created Learnlists feature is enabled for your account. These personal Learnlists are visible only to the learner, admins, and owners. Contact your Customer Success Manager to enable this feature.
Q: What is the Learnlist Summary page?
The Summary page appears at the end of a Learnlist and shows scoring breakdowns, certificates received, and CPD points earned. This feature is available on request—contact your Customer Success Manager to enable it.
Q: When clicking into an incomplete Learnlist, am I redirected to the overview page?
No. Users are redirected to the next piece of incomplete content so they can continue where they left off.
Q: Are tags important for Learnlists?
Yes! Tags make your Learnlists easier to find, especially for users browsing the platform who haven't been directly assigned the content.
Troubleshooting
Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
Learnlist not visible to users | Check visibility settings and ensure it's been published. Verify the go-live date has passed. |
Completion not being tracked | Confirm the correct completion calculation method (Absolute or Dynamic) is set. |
Learners can't progress to next item | Check if the Learnlist is set to "Locked" and ensure prerequisites are completed. |
Tags not helping discoverability | Make sure tags are correctly formatted and relevant to search terms users might use. |
Pass score not working | Ensure the Learnlist has a pass score configured and contains scorable content (quizzes, exercises). |
Duplicate Learnlist behaving unexpectedly | Check whether you created a Mirror (linked items) or Duplicate (independent items). |
