Integration Summary
Our integration with Hi Bob creates a connection between the two platforms that automatically syncs user information stored in Hi Bob to Learn Amp. This eliminates the need to import or regularly maintain user information in Learn Amp.


Main Features

By connecting your Hi Bob account to Learn Amp:

  • All of your users that are stored in Hi Bob will automatically be synced in to Learn Amp

  • New users added to your Hi Bob account will automatically be added to Learn Amp

  • Any changes to user details in Hi Bob (Job Title, Department, etc) will be reflected in Learn Amp

  • You can choose when new users are invited in to the system

Syncing Additional Information

Yes, It is possible to sync additional or different data points from Hi Bob in to learn Amp. For example, You may decide that it would be useful to map data from your sub department field in Hi Bob into Learn Amp’s Primary_team rather than using the standard Department field.

Please Note: These requests will be handled by your Implementation Coach and will require custom development work to be undertaken by our technical team. The time taken to complete this work is chargeable or can be deducted from your Implementation budget at your Coaches' discretion.


How the Platforms Connect

Learn Amp connects to Hi Bob using an API token which can be generated by an Administrator of your Hi Bob account. Learn Amp will then generate a unique webhook URL that you can use to create a series of subscriptions based on specific events in Hi Bob. When an event subscription is triggered, Hi Bob will automatically sync any new or updated user information to Learn Amp

Required Stakeholders

To set up our Integration with Hi Bob, you will need somebody with administrator level access to your Hi Bob account. This person will also need administrator level access to your Learn Amp Live account for the period of time in which the Integration is being set up.

Other Frequently Asked Questions

 I have updated a users information in Hi Bob but the changes have not be reflected in Learn Amp?

Providing you have all of the webhooks event subscriptions enabled as per the integration set up instructions, Hi Bob should send the updated information over to Learn Amp. This may not happen instantly so allow some time for the change to become visible in Learn Amp . Should the updated Information still not appear in Learn Amp, press the ‘Import all from Hi Bob’ button on the Hi Bob integration page within your Learn Amp account.

 Should I update Hi Bob or Learn Amp if a users information changes?

You should always create new users or update existing users information in Hi Bob, not In Learn Amp. Newly created or updated user information in Hi Bob will automatically be synced to Hi Bob.

 How often does Learn Amp sync with Hi Bob?

Learn Amp does not automatically sync with Hi Bob on a daily basis. After the initial sync where all users are moved into Learn Amp for the first time, Hi Bob will will sync information when an event subscription webhook is triggered. For example, If a new user is created, or a user’s job title changes.
