Parent Tasks Management Area (beta)

Parent Tasks Management Area (beta)

Prerequisite

This new feature is designed to work in conjunction with the New Task Log beta feature. Please ensure New Task Log is enabled before turning this new feature on.

Overview

The Parent Tasks tab gives you a dedicated space to view and manage all training rules set up in your organisation — including group, team, company-wide, and recurring tasks. It helps you keep track of training configurations, audiences, and setup details in one place.

What’s included in the Parent Tasks view?

Each row in the table represents a parent task and includes the following details:

  • Task (name of the task)

  • Recurrence (shows whether the task is recurring)

  • Reissue (indicates when the task will reopen, if applicable)

  • Set for (group, team, company)

  • Issued to (Current members only, New members only, Current and New members)

  • Recipients (shows a count, clickable to view all related individual tasks in the Task Log)

  • Set by (who created the task)

  • Created at (indicates created date, sortable by older / newer date)

  • Mandatory (yes/no)

Available actions

Click the three-dot menu beside any parent task to:

  • View details

  • Edit task

  • Delete task

You can also create a new task using the Add Task shortcut in the action bar on top of the table.

Filtering and sorting

You can filter the table by various properties to find what you need quickly. The Created at column is sortable to help you find the most recent or oldest tasks first.

Who can access the Parent Tasks tab?

This feature is available to users with the following roles:

  • Admin

  • Owner

  • HR

  • Reporter

  • Curator or Learning Designer (with added task permissions)
