What different settings do Groups offer

This article describes the difference between different options available when creating Groups.

This includes:

  • Active vs. Inactive

  • Filters: Is or Is not

Active vs. Inactive

Active

  • The Group will automatically refresh based on the criteria add and remove users.

  • Content, Tasks, and Assessments will be assigned to the new members of the group if specified in the settings.

  • The group’s member list might change daily, based on the criteria set

Inactive

  • The Group will no longer automatically refresh

  • Users will not be assigned any content based on that group

  • As opposed to deleting a group, it will be possible to activate it anytime

Filters: IS and IS NOT

While picking a group’s criteria, there is a number of filters available:

Some of them come in pairs, such as: Has and Has not completed or Is and Is not a manager.

These filters allow broader and more flexible criteria set up.
