🧩Custom insights in the Widget catalogue
🧭 Overview
The Custom Insights section in the Widget Catalogue allows you to add both pre-defined and user-created insights directly to your dashboards. This enables you to quickly access the data that matters most—presented how and where you need it.
You’ll find two types of insights:
Template Insights: Pre-built widgets offering commonly requested visualisations, ready to use without extra setup.
Custom Insights: Any insights or reports your company has built using the Advanced Analytics tool is automatically added here, to be reused across dashboards.
⚙️ Pre-requisites
Before you begin:

Click on the desired widget to add it to your dashboard.
You can also rename the widget at this stage for the specific dashboard (note: this won’t change the original widget name in the widget catalogue).

After adding, you can:
🧱 Reorder widgets
📐 Resize them to match your layout preferences
❓ FAQs & Troubleshooting
Q: Can I edit a template insight?
A: Template insights shouldn’t be edited as the changes would be overrun by our daily refresh mechanism. To customise those insights, search by title in the Advanced Analytics tool → Open, make the changes you wish and rename the insight, then Save as new.
Q: Why don’t I see my custom insight?
A: Ensure you are searching for the insight with the correct name. Go to Reporting-> Advanced Analytics → Open-> Created by me and type to find the insight you are looking for.
