Here is a summary of BI tool permissions for each role:

Role	Can see custom insights added to visible dashboards?	Can add custom widgets to dashboards?	Can create custom insights from “Create widget” button?	Can create custom insights (widgets and reports) from “Create report” button?

Learner
Curator
Reporter	*	*
Learning Designer

Owner

*Reporter and HR roles don’t have access to the “Custom insights” widget catalogue, but will still be able to add a widget to an existing dashboard when using the “Create report” flow and selecting “Save as widget”.

Notes:

Managers without privileged roles above won’t be accessing custom insights and reports nor will be able to create any, at this stage.
