Advanced Analytics is Learn Amp's powerful Business Intelligence (BI) tool that allows you to create custom reports, dashboards, and visualisations tailored to your organisation's needs.
Overview
Advanced Analytics goes beyond standard reporting by giving you the flexibility to:
Build custom insights using a drag-and-drop interface
Create metrics using MAQL (Multi-Dimensional Analytical Query Language)
Design dashboards that combine multiple visualisations
Export data in various formats for further analysis
Share reports across your organisation
Whether you need to track compliance rates, analyse learning trends, or create executive dashboards, Advanced Analytics provides the tools to turn your data into actionable insights.
Pre-requisites
Role Requirements
The following roles have access to Advanced Analytics:
Owner – Full access to create, edit, view, delete all insights
Admin – Full access to create, edit, view, delete all insights
HR – Full access to create, edit, view, delete all insights
Reporter – Full access to create, edit, view, delete all insights
Note: Managers without the above roles can view scoped custom insights if enabled via the Alpha program. See "Scoped manager access to custom reports" for details.
Package Requirements
Advanced Analytics is available on the Advanced package or as a bolt-on to other packages. Contact your Customer Success Manager if you're unsure whether your organisation has access.
Quick-Start Guide
Step 1: Access Advanced Analytics
From the left-hand navigation bar, click Reporting, then select the Advanced Analytics tile.
Step 2: Choose Your Starting Point
You have several options:
Create Widget – Build a new visualisation from scratch
Create Report – Start a new report for deeper analysis
Open – Access existing insights and reports you've created
Step 3: Build Your Insight
Choose a visualisation type (bar chart, table, line graph, etc.)
Drag data points from the left-hand menu onto your canvas
Apply filters to focus on specific data
Save your insight as a widget or report
Step 4: Share Your Work
Add widgets to dashboards or share reports with colleagues who have appropriate permissions.
