Using the Udemy Integration

Overview

Once the Udemy integration is set up, learners can discover and complete Udemy courses directly through Learn Amp. This guide explains how to find courses, take them, and understand how completions are tracked.

Functionality Breakdown

When the integration is active:

• Udemy courses appear in your Learn Amp Library alongside other content

• Clicking on a course launches you directly into Udemy to take it

• Your progress and completions sync back to Learn Amp automatically

• All Udemy activity appears in your Activity Log

Quick Start Guide

Finding Udemy Courses

1. Go to the Library in Learn Amp

2. Search for a topic you'd like to learn about

3. Filter by Course to see Udemy courses (they're imported as course items)

4. Udemy courses are tagged with categories from Udemy's library

Taking a Course

1. Click on the Udemy course you want to take

2. Click Take this course or the launch button

3. You'll be redirected to Udemy in a new window

4. Complete the course content on Udemy's platform

Tracking Your Progress

• Your progress syncs from Udemy to Learn Amp once every 24 hours

• When you complete a course in Udemy, it will be marked as complete in Learn Amp

• View your completed courses in your Activity Log or My Learning area

For Administrators

Importing New Courses

When new courses are added to your Udemy for Business library:

1. Go to Integrations > Udemy

2. Click Fetch latest courses

3. New courses will be imported and appear in your Library

Tip: Newly added courses from Udemy won't appear automatically—an Admin needs to fetch them.

Managing Udemy Content

Imported Udemy courses behave like any other item in Learn Amp:

• Find them in Manage Items or the Library

• Add them to Learnlists, Channels, or assign them to users

• Archive or delete them if no longer needed

• View completion reports through standard reporting

FAQs

Q: Does it matter if I start a course from Learn Amp or directly from Udemy?
No—your progress is synced regardless of where you start. Just ensure your email address is the same in both systems.

Q: How long until my completion shows in Learn Amp?
Completions sync once every 24 hours. Your progress may take up to a day to appear in Learn Amp after being recorded in Udemy.

Q: Can I see my progress percentage?
Yes—as you work through a course in Udemy, your progress percentage syncs to Learn Amp and is visible in reporting.

Q: What if my Udemy courses aren't showing in the Library?
Ask your Admin to click "Fetch latest courses" in the integration settings to import new courses.

Q: Why isn't my completion showing even after 24 hours?
Check that your email address in Learn Amp matches your Udemy account exactly. If they don't match, activity cannot be synced.
