What's the Audit Log?
Overview
The Audit Log provides Admins and Owners with visibility over key actions taken across your Learn Amp site. It captures detailed records to help you monitor changes, track user activity, and enhance platform security.
Whether you're investigating deleted content, reviewing user behaviour, or ensuring accountability, the Audit Log gives you the clarity you need.
Functionality Breakdown
What does the Audit Log record?
Each entry in the Audit Log includes:
Timestamp – When the action occurred
User – Who performed the action
Action Type – What kind of action was taken (e.g., update, deletion)
IP Address – Where the action was performed from
Details – Specifics of what changed (with “View details” for deeper insights)
Sensitive information (e.g., API credentials) is redacted to maintain security.
Pre-requisites
To access the Audit Log, a user must:
Hold Admin or Owner permissions

How to find the Audit Log
Click ‘Reporting’ on the left-hand side of the navigation panel.
Select ‘Audit Log’
Viewing details of an action
Each row includes a “View details” link.
Clicking it opens a modal with more granular information, including:
What changed
Before and after values (for applicable actions)
Filters and Search
Use filters to quickly find specific actions or patterns. Available filters include:

Type | Filter by the kind of data affected |
Event | Filter by action type (e.g. Created, Deleted) |
Object Name | Identify which item was updated |
IP Address | Trace activity to a specific IP |
System | View automated/system-triggered events |
Timespan | Define the date range of your search |

Track a deletion: Set filters to
Event> Action> DeletedandObject Name > [item name]Audit a user’s activity: Set

🕒 Data Retention
Audit Log data is retained for 18 months before being automatically purged.
FAQs
Who can access the Audit Log?
Only users with Admin or Owner roles can view the Audit Log.
Can I export Audit Log data?
Export functionality is currently not available through the UI. Please contact Support should you require an export.
Are system-generated actions recorded?
Yes. The System filter lets you isolate and review automatic or backend events.
