Using the Slack Integration
Overview
Once your Slack integration is enabled, your team can interact with Learn Amp directly from Slack. This guide covers how to use slash commands and set up Activity Feeds to keep your team informed about learning activity.
Connecting Your Account
Before using slash commands, each user needs to link their Slack and Learn Amp accounts:
Open Slack and go to any channel or direct message
Type
/la connectand press EnterFollow the prompts to verify your connection
Once connected, you'll be able to use all personalised commands like viewing your tasks and assigned learning.
Tip: If you see "User not found" when using commands, run /la connect first.

Searching for Content
To search the Learn Amp library:
/la search [your keywords]For example: /la search leadership skills
This returns matching Items and Learnlists from your library. You can view details or share results with colleagues directly from Slack.
Viewing Your Tasks
Command | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Your 10 upcoming tasks |
| Tasks you've completed |
| Tasks that are past their deadline |
| Tasks marked as mandatory |
Note: Task commands show Items, Learnlists, Quizzes, and Channels only. Surveys and 1-1s won't appear in these lists.
Adding Content to the Library
If you have permission to create Items, you can add content directly from Slack:
/la add [URL]For example: /la add https://example.com/great-article
Learn Amp will scrape the URL and create a new Item. You'll receive a link to complete the Item's details (title, description, skills, etc.).
If the URL already exists in your library, you'll be notified instead of creating a duplicate.
