The AI-powered auto-tagging tool helps Admins save time and improve consistency by using OpenAI to automatically tag content items based on their title and description. It also suggests relevant topics from your learning taxonomy and recommends a proficiency level for each skill—keeping your learning content aligned and searchable.

What does the feature do?

Uses OpenAI to analyse content items and automatically:

• Apply relevant tags and topics from your taxonomy

• Suggest topics based on content description

• Recommend a proficiency level for each skill

⚙️ Pre-requisites:

• ✅ OpenAI integration must be enabled for your organisation

• ✅ A skills-based learning taxonomy must exist in your Learn Amp instance

• ✅ AI-assisted tagging must be enabled for your organisation.

🚀 Quick-Start Guide

Step 1: Upload or Edit a Content Item

Navigate to the Content Library or any area where you manage learning content, then:

• Upload a new item, or

• Open an existing item to edit

Step 2: Ensure AI-Tagging is Enabled

Check that AI-assisted tagging is turned on for your organisation. If it’s off, speak to your Customer Success Manager.

Step 3: Let AI Analyse Your Content

Once the content item has a title and description:

• The system will automatically analyse the content context

• AI will then suggest:

  • Relevant tags

  • Suggested topics from the taxonomy

  • Skill proficiency levels for each topic

You’ll see these suggestions within the tagging area of the content item.

Step 4: Review & Apply Suggestions

You can:

• Accept the AI-generated tags and topics

• Edit them if needed

• Add your own custom tags or override AI suggestions

Changes will be saved when you save or publish the content.

Bulk Tagging (Learn Amp Support Only)

Bulk tagging content at scale (e.g. across hundreds of items) is not available to Admins directly. This can only be performed by the Learn Amp support team at present.

Q: Can I manually change the tags AI suggests?
Yes! All AI-generated tags are suggestions. You’re always in control.

Q: Does AI tag content with no description?
AI works best when both a title and description are present. With limited data, tagging may be less accurate.

Q: Can AI assign multiple proficiency levels?
Yes. Each skill can have a suggested proficiency level, which you can adjust.
