AI-Powered Auto-Tagging
Overview
AI-Powered Auto-Tagging helps you save time and improve consistency by automatically tagging content items based on their title and description. Using OpenAI, this feature suggests relevant topics from your learning taxonomy and recommends proficiency levels for each skill—keeping your learning content aligned and searchable.
Functionality Breakdown
When enabled, AI-Powered Auto-Tagging analyses your content items and automatically suggests:
Tags and topics from your organisation's taxonomy
Suggested topics based on content descriptions
Proficiency levels for each skill
How It Works
The AI analyses the title and description of your content items to understand context. It then matches this against your existing skills taxonomy to suggest the most relevant tags. You remain in full control—all suggestions can be accepted, modified, or ignored.
Key Benefits
Save time: No need to manually search through your taxonomy for relevant tags
Improve consistency: AI applies the same logic across all content, reducing human variation
Better searchability: Well-tagged content is easier for learners to find

Quick Start Guide
Step 1: Upload or Edit a Content Item
Navigate to the Content Library or any area where you manage learning content, then:
Upload a new item, or
Open an existing item to edit
Step 2: Ensure AI-Tagging is Enabled
Check that AI-assisted tagging is turned on for your organisation. If it's not available, contact your Customer Success Manager.
Step 3: Let AI Analyse Your Content
Once the content item has a title and description:
The system automatically analyses the content context
AI suggests:
Relevant tags
Suggested topics from your taxonomy
Skill proficiency levels for each topic
You'll see these suggestions within the tagging area of the content item.
Step 4: Review and Apply Suggestions
You can:
Accept the AI-generated tags and topics
Edit them if needed
Add your own custom tags or override AI suggestions
Changes are saved when you save or publish the content.
⚠️ Warning: AI works best when both a title and description are present. With limited data, tagging may be less accurate.
Bulk Tagging
You can tag content in bulk using the CSV export/import feature. Follow these steps:
Navigate to Company Settings → Imports → Items update
Select Start items update and click Export bulk item CSV
Once the file downloads, open it and find the items you want to tag
Add your tags under the "tags" column (use commas to separate multiple tags)
Save the file and re-upload it on the "Upload CSV" page
Click Start import and complete the import process
