Custom Certificates

Custom Certificates

Overview

Custom certificates allow you to brand the completion certificates that learners receive when they finish content. You can upload your own certificate designs or customise the built-in templates to match your organisation's identity.

Accessing Certificate Settings

Navigate to Settings → Content → Custom certificates from the sidebar.

Certificate Options

Option 1: Upload a Custom Certificate

If you have a pre-designed certificate (created by your design team), you can upload it directly.

  1. Go to Settings → Content → Custom certificates

  2. Click Add custom certificate

  3. Click Choose image to upload your certificate design

  4. Enter a name for the certificate

  5. Click Save

Requirements:

  • Your certificate image should include all static design elements

  • Dynamic content (learner name, completion date, etc.) will be overlaid by Learn Amp

Option 2: Customise a Template

Learn Amp provides certificate templates that you can customise.

  1. Go to Settings → Content → Custom certificates

  2. Find the template you want to customise

  3. Click the three-dot menu and select Edit

  4. Customise the available options:

    • Background image – Click 'Choose image' to upload a new background

    • Certificate name – Update the internal name for this certificate

  5. Click Save

Using Certificates with Content

Once you've created custom certificates, you can assign them to specific content:

  1. Edit the Item, Learnlist, or other content

  2. Look for the certificate settings

  3. Select your custom certificate from the dropdown

  4. Save the content

Learners will receive this certificate when they complete the content.

Tips for Success

  • Design for print – Many learners will download or print their certificates

  • Include space for dynamic content – Leave room for the learner's name, date, and content title

  • Test before deploying – Complete a test piece of content to see how your certificate looks

  • Keep file sizes reasonable – Large images may slow down certificate generation

  • Consider branding consistency – Match your certificate design to your overall platform branding
