Multiple Choice Options on Quizzes
Overview
Multiple choice is a versatile question format used in Learn Amp Quizzes. It allows creators to include one or more correct answers for each question. This article explains how to set up and manage multiple choice options effectively, along with key behaviours to consider when building your Quiz.
Functionality Breakdown
You can add multiple answer options to each question.
At least one correct answer must be selected.
You may choose multiple correct answers if appropriate.
Learners will not be told how many correct answers there are.
Pre-requisites
You must have permission to create or edit Quizzes within your Learn Amp account.
Access to the Quiz editor is required.
Required User Roles
To create or edit quizzes and configure multiple choice options, you must have one of the following roles:
Curator
Learning Designer
Owner
Admin
Additionally, Coaches can create quizzes and will automatically become editors of quizzes they create. Users can also be granted Editor access to specific quizzes by the quiz creator or other authorised users.
Quick Start Guide
Creating Multiple Choice Questions
In the sidebar navigation, go to Manage → Learning Content → Quizzes and open the quiz you want to edit.
In the top toolbar, click Editor View to open the inline quiz editor.
From the Question Types sidebar on the right, drag the Multiple Choice card onto the editor canvas, or click the + button between existing questions and select Multiple Choice.
Fill in your question prompt.
Add all potential answer options.
Tick the checkbox(es) beside the correct option(s).
You can mark one, two, or more correct answers.
You must select at least one correct option.
Click Save in the sidebar when you are done.
Tips for Transparency
Learners won't be informed how many answers are correct.
If you want them to know, include this in the question prompt.
Example: "Select two correct answers."
Adding Feedback to Answers
You can provide feedback for each answer.

FAQs & Troubleshooting
Can I create a question with only one correct answer?
Yes. Mark just one answer as correct.
What happens if I don't mark any answer as correct?
You won't be able to save the question. At least one correct option is required.
Will learners be told how many answers to select?
No. This is not shown automatically. If needed, clarify it in the question prompt.
Can I randomise the order of answers?
Currently, answer order is fixed as entered.
Is feedback mandatory?
No, but it's recommended for better learner experience.
The Editor View toggle isn't visible — what should I check?
You may not have edit permissions for this quiz. Ask an Admin or the quiz owner to add you via the Who can edit? setting.
