Quiz Question Bank
Overview
The Quiz Question Bank allows you to centrally create, organise, and manage reusable questions for assessments. By building a shared repository, Admins and Owners can create quizzes more efficiently while providing learners with a dynamic, varied experience through optional question randomisation.
This feature helps teams maintain consistency, streamline authoring, and reduce repeated manual setup when creating similar or recurring quizzes.
Functionality Breakdown
The Quiz Question Bank enables you to:
Create and manage multiple banks of reusable quiz questions
Add, edit, and organise questions directly within each bank
Reuse questions across multiple quizzes without duplication
Randomise question selection to create unique quiz attempts for learners
View key details at a glance, including total questions and last updated date
Permissions: Only Admins and Owners can create, edit, and manage Question Banks.
Pre-requisites
Before creating a Quiz Question Bank, ensure:
You have Admin or Owner permissions
You can access Company Settings → Assessments
Quick Start Guide
Follow these steps to create, manage, and use your Question Banks.
1. Create a New Question Bank
Navigate to Company Settings from the main menu.
Select Assessments → Quiz Question Bank.
Click Add Question Bank.
Follow the on-screen prompts to:
Add new questions
Organise questions within the bank
Preview the full bank before saving
Review your setup, then click Save.
Tip: Use clear titles and group related questions together to make banks easier to manage later.
2. View and Manage Existing Question Banks
Once created, your Question Banks appear in a table showing:
Title – Bank name
N. of Questions – Total questions within the bank
Created At – Date the bank was created
Updated At – Date any edits were last made
To edit an existing bank:
Go to Company Settings → Assessments.
Select the Question Bank from the table.
Choose one of two editing options:
Add Questions – Quickly add new questions to the bank.
Edit Question Bank – Access the full creation flow to make broader changes.
Warning: Editing a Question Bank affects all quizzes that use questions from that bank.
3. Create a Quiz Using a Question Bank
Click the + button in the navigation bar.
Select Assessment → Quiz.
Add your quiz details (Name, Description, Tags, etc.).
When prompted for Quiz source, select Add from Question Bank.
Choose a Question Bank from the dropdown menu.
You'll see the total number of available questions.
Select how many questions should be randomly assigned to each quiz attempt.
This must be equal to or fewer than the total questions in the bank.
(Optional) To use multiple banks, click Add Question Bank and repeat the selection process.
Click Next to finalise your quiz setup and save.
Tip: Randomisation is a great way to keep assessments fresh and reduce rote memorisation.

Q: Can I use questions from multiple banks in a single quiz?
A: You can add multiple Question Banks when choosing the quiz source.
Q: Do edits to a Question Bank update existing quizzes?
A: Yes. Any change to a bank updates all quizzes using questions from that bank.
Q: Can Learners see which questions are pulled from which bank?
A: No. Question Bank structure is only visible to Admins and Owners.
Q: Is there a limit to how many questions a bank can contain?
A: No. You can add as many questions as needed.
