Question: What does the term "active" mean in "average active time spent on the platform"?
Answer: The term ‘active’ means ‘interacting with the site' via the following:
Every time the user interacts with the site e.g. click a button, or loads a page then the duration of the session recorded gets extended
If the user stops interacting with the site (e.g. leaving the page sitting open for an hour and then closing the browser) then no further interactions would be captured - the hour that the page was sitting open would not be counted as it would be seen as inactive time spent
Average active time spent on the platform per session = Average time spent interacting with the platform per session
Average active time spent on the platform over a period of time = Average time spent interacting with the platform over a period of time
