What is a featured channel and how do I add it?
Not all channels are born equal. Some deserve to be brought to the surface to make sure learners engage with their content. With the featured channel widget, you can make sure company updates are always front and centre, shine a light on campaigns like Diversity and Inclusion and mental health awareness, or provide an easy way to access company policies.
Click ‘Add widget’ on any Dashboard - including team Dashboards!
Select ‘Featured channel’ from the Learn section and follow the instructions to set up your featured channel.
The channels available to add as a Featured Channel are determined by the channel’s visibility settings.
Hidden: These channels will not appear as options in the Featured Channel widget
Selected: Channels that are visible to selected individuals/teams/groups will appear as options in the Featured Channel widget
Everyone: These channels will appear as options in the Featured Channel Widget

If you choose to feature a channel that is only visible to ‘selected’ individuals/teams/groups, the channel will only appear on the Dashboard for those individuals/teams/groups.
If a user is not part of the required teams/groups or does not have individual visibility of the channel, then the widget will be hidden from their Dashboard.
What is a featured video and how do I add it?
Videos are the quickest way to grab the attention of your learners. Use a featured video to showcase a message from the CEO, welcome new learners or highlight any new initiatives.
Select ‘Featured Video’ from the Learn section of Dashboard widgets and follow the set-up instructions.
What is a featured link and how do I add it?
Use your Learn Amp Dashboard as a central hub and provide employees with resource links at their fingertips.
Select ‘External link’ from the Learn section of Dashboard widgets and follow the set-up instructions.
Adding images to your links brings colour to your Dashboard and adding a background colour allows you to seamlessly resize the image.
We recommend opening links in a new tab so learners can easily switch between Learn Amp and the external link.
